Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) was created in the year 1948 for the holistic development of the Damodar Valley area spread across 24,235 square km in the States of Jharkhand and West Bengal. DVC Head Quarter is located at Kolkata and its business activities are primarily: Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Mining, Water Resources Management, and Soil Conservation.

Damodar Valley Corporation ( DVC), India’s first multipurpose river valley project, was established in 1948 in Jharkhand and West Bengal with its Headquarters in Kolkata. Today, DVC stands as a pioneering vertically integrated power utility, with diversified operations in Mining, Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Water Resources Management, and Soil Conservation. Its business model is seamlessly integrated with robust CSR interventions aimed at driving long-term socio-economic transformation in the valley.

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) invites online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Deputy Manager (Mining) to be engaged on a permanent basis.

Dy. Manager (Mining): 09 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from any institute approved/ recognized by the UGC, AICTE with 1st Class/ 2nd Class Manager’s Certificate of Competency under the CMR, 1957/ 2017 with not less than 65% marks [General/OBC(NCL)/EWS] & 60% marks (SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate of all years/ semesters as per conversion formulae of the concerned University/ Institution.

Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification Executive experience in Coal Mine Operations.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 35 years as on 24-12-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of a Written Test followed by a Personal Interview. However, Management reserves the right to conduct additional screening tests/ trade tests/ skill tests/ Psychometric Test, etc,. as deemed fit.

Place of Posting: HQ Kolkata or any field formation/Coal Mines of the DVC/JVs

Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-11

SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Ex-SM categories & DVC Departmental Candidates are exempted from submission of application fee.
