CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), a constituent Laboratory of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), which is an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is an R&D organization dedicated to metallurgical and materials engineering research. With its modern and extensive infrastructure and the large spectrum of expertise of its Scientific and Technical manpower, CSIR-NML is primarily engaged in industrially and socially significant research pursuits aligned with the national interest and demonstration of high-quality science.

CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Junior Stenographer posts.

Junior Stenographer: 05 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2/ XII or its equivalent and proficiency in stenography as per the prescribed norms fixed by DoPT from time to time.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 27 years as on 31-12-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of a Competitive Written Examination followed by the Proficiency Test in Stenography. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the competitive written examination.

Pay Scale: Pay Level 04

SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women/ CSIR Employees are exempted from the submission of the application fee.

Junior Secretariat Assistant Post: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Competitive Written Examination followed by the Proficiency Test in Computer. The Final Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II and only comprise of those candidates who have qualified the Proficiency Test in computer typing.

Pay Level 04 for Junior Stenographer Posts
