Job Description :

West Bengal Board of Primary Education invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Assistant Teachers in Government Aided/ Government Sponsored Primary/ Junior Basic Schools in the State in accordance with the provisions of "West Bengal Primary School Teachers Recruitment Rules, 2016".

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Graduation and Two Year Diploma in Elementary Education
AND
Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) (conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education adhering to the rules and principles set by NCTE)

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 40 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of
Merit (05 marks for Madhyamik/ equivalent examination, 10 marks for Higher Secondary/ equivalent examination, 15 marks for Training as specified by NCTE, 05 marks for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), 05 marks Extra-Curricular Activities),
Aptitude Test of 05 Marks, and
Interview of 05 Marks.

Application Fee: Rs.600/- for General category candidates
Rs.500, for OBC category candidates
Rs.300 for SC/ ST/ EWS/ PwD categories candidates
