Spices Board invites applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Spices Research Trainee posts at the Indian Cardamom Research Institute, Myladumpara, Idukki, Kerala.

Spice Research Trainee: 07 Vacancies

Agronomy/ Soil Science Division: 03 Vacancies
Plant Pathology Division: 03 Vacancies
Entomology Division: 01 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria:
Agronomy & Soil Science: Candidates must possess an M.Sc. Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry with minimum 55% marks.
Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related fields.

Plant Pathology: Candidates must possess a M.Sc. in Agriculture (Plant Pathology)/ M.Sc. Microbiology/ M.Sc. Botany with a minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field

Entomology: Candidates must possess an M.Sc. Nematology, M.Sc. Sericulture, M.Sc. Environmental sciences, M.Sc. Forestry, MSc Agri. Microbiology, MSc Microbiology (Botany with specialization in microbiology), MSc Horticulture, M.Sc./ M.tech.Agri Biotechnology, M.Sc.Agri. Extension, M.Sc. Agri. Plant Pathology with minimum 55% marks.
Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field

Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 30 years as on 19-03-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of the Screening Test, followed by the Documents Verification and the Typing test Will be held for Stenographer and Lower Division Clerk Posts.

Period of Training: Two years

Stipend: Rs.21,000/- per month
