Job Description :

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in the designated trades at various divisions, Workshops, and units of Southern Railway.

Candidates residing in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Andaman & Nicobar, and Lakshadweep Islands, two districts of Andhra Pradesh - SPSR Nellore and Chitoor, and one district of Karnataka - Dakshin Kannada of Southern Railway are eligible to apply.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 15 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 24 years. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Fresher's Positions: Candidates must pass 10th or 12th class as per individual trade, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

For Ex-ITI Candidates: Candidates must pass the 10th class with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Candidates must also pass an ITI course in the relevant trade from government ITI, and possess a certificate issued by NCVT or the state council of vocational training.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on a percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both matriculation and ITI exams, giving equal weightage to both, followed by the medical examination. Candidate shall have to bring a medical certificate at the time of document verification.

Stipend: Rs.6000/- for Fresher’s - X std
Rs.7000/- for Fresher’s - 12th std
Rs.7000/- for Ex-ITI

Application Fee: Rs. 100/-
SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
