Odisha Public Service Commission invites online applications from competent candidates for selection as assistant soil conservation officers in class- II “Group-B” of Odisha Soil Conservation Service under the Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department, Government of Odisha.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in science or agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture), horticulture/forestry/agriculture engineering, or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 38 years as of 01 Jan 2024. Candidates must be born before 02 Jan 1986 and not later than 01 Jan 2003; both dates inclusive. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on marks obtained in the competitive recruitment examination, The written test shall comprise of two papers namely paper-I and paper-II together carrying 200 marks, 100 marks for each paper which shall be MCQ pattern. Candidates may choose any one of the subjects in which they want to appear for the written test, agriculture or agricultural engineering forestry, or horticulture.

Place of examination: The written examination shall be held at Cuttack. It may also held at Bhubaneswar/Balasore/Berhampur/Sambalpur depending on the number of candidates from the respective zones.
