Job Description :

Northern Railway invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for imparting training at various Divisions/ Units/ Workshops.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have passed SSC/ Matriculation/ 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks, from a recognized board and must have passed ITI in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT recognized by Government of India.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 15 and must not have crossed the maximum age of 24 as of 16-09-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: The candidate selection will be based on a merit list created by averaging the percentage marks obtained by candidates in both their Matriculation/ SSC/10th-grade exams and they have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and their ITI examination, with equal weight given to both sets of marks.

Application Fee: Rs 100/- for General Candidates.
SC/ ST/ PwBD and Women candidates are exempt from paying the application fee.
