Job Description :

Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway, Prayagraj invites online applications from eligible candidates for engagement of Apprentices for training in the designated Trades under the Apprentice Act 1961 at various Divisions and workshops within the jurisdiction of North Central Railways for the year 2025-26.

Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:

Apprentices: 1763 Positions

Prayagraj (Pryj) Division: 703 Positions
Jhansi (JHS) Division: 497 Positions
HQ/NCR/PRYJ: 32 Positions
Work Shop Jhansi: 235 Positions
Agra (AGC) Division: 296 Positions

Important Dates:
Commencement of Online Application: 18-09-2025
Last Date of Online Application: 17-10-2025

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have passed the SSC/ Matriculation/ 10th class examination or its equivalent with a minimum 50% marks, in the aggregate, from a recognized Board and must have passed ITI in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/ SCVT recognized by Government of India.

Technical Qualifications: Candidates must have an ITI certificate/ National Trade Certificate affiliated to NCVT/ SCVT is compulsory in relevant trade.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 15 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 24 years of age as of 16-09-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Selection will be done based on a merit list prepared for all the eligible candidates. The merit list will be prepared based on average marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI exam. Short listed candidates will be called for document/ certificate verification.

Training Period and Stipend: Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices for the period of one year and will be paid a stipend during their training as per extant rules.

Application Fee: Rs. 100/-
candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women are exempted from payment of the application fee.
