Job Description :

Northeast Frontier Railway invites applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment in Quota for various positions. Selected candidates can be posted at any place within the jurisdiction of NF Railway.

Singer (Classical/ Light classical): 01 Vacancy
Instrumental Artist (Saxophone): 01 Vacancy

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate for NTPC categories.
50% marks are not required for SC/ST/Ex- servicemen/Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates and in case of candidates who possess qualifications higher than the essential minimum qualification
OR
Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprentice approved by NCVT/ SCVT for technical categories.
OR
Matriculation plus ITI approved by NCVT/ SCVT for Technical Categories.
Candidates should possess requisite academic & professional qualification on the date of submission of application. Those who are appearing or awaiting results of final examination are not eligible.

Desirable: Experience in the field in applied discipline and performance on (AIR) All India Radio/ Doordarshan etc.

Awards/ Prizes won at National level in applied discipline.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 30 years as on 01-01-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates are selected on the basis of 100 marks (Written Test of 50 marks, and 50 marks for Assessment of talent in the relevant field- practical demonstration 35 marks, and Testimonials/ Prizes 15 marks).

Pay Scale: Pay Level 02

Examination Fee: Rs. 250 for SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ PwBD/ Women/ Minorities and Economically Backward Classes category candidates
Rs. 500/- for other candidates payable at Maligaon Post Office, Guwahati – 781011.
