Job Description :

Northern Eastern Railway invites online applications from eligible candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria for undergoing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules. 1962, in the various units of the Northern Eastern Railway.

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed the prescribed qualification of High School/10th with a minimum of 50% marks and possess ITI in relevant trade on the date of issue of notification. i.e. 12.06.2024

Age Limit: Minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years as on 12.06.2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Selection of the candidates for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared to take the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.

Candidate may opt for more than one unit/place. In case, his/her merit position does not permit to allot first choice, he/she will be allotted subsequent choice. Based on information provided by the Candidates in their application form, candidates provisionally selected for document verification will be called at Gorakhpur.

Physical Standard: Selected candidates called for document verification must submit a medical certificate in the attached prescribed format issued by an authorized medical officer. Eligibility of divyang for particular trade shall be governed by Railway Boards guidelines.

Training & Stipend: The candidate's training will be arranged according to the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council subject to registration with RDAT/Kanpur for 1 year. The selected candidates will be paid a stipend during Apprenticeship at the prescribed rates per extant rules/Instructions.

Application Fee:
Rs. 100/- for General/OBC/EWS
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee. Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee through online mode.
