MPSC Manipur Recruitment 2026: 31 Teaching Vacancies in Government Colleges

Manipur Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Assistant Professor positions in Government Colleges under the Higher Education, Department, Manipur.

Assistant Professor: 419 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must possess a Master’s degree with 55% marks in a concerned/ relevant/ allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. 

Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. The National Eligibility Test(NET) or an accredited test( State Level Eligibility Test SLET/ SET) shall remain the minimum eligibility for appointment of Assistant Professor and equivalent positions wherever provided in these Regulations.

NET/SLET/SET shall also not to be required for such Master Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.

The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/ instituion with a ranking among top 500 in the World university Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacrelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 38 years as of 19-01-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Interview.

Scale of Pay: Rs.15,600 - 39,100/-

Application Fee: Rs.400 for SC/ ST categories candidates
Rs.600 for General/ OBC categories candidates
