Meghalaya Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of various positions.

Inspector of Excise in the Office of the Commissioner Excise: 12 Vacancies
Primary Investigator/ Computor under the Directorate of Economics & Statistics: 18 Vacancies
Field Assistant under the Directorate of Economics & Statistics: 31 Vacancies
Account Assistant under the Directorate of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs: 01

Eligibility Criteria:
Inspector of Excise: Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree in any discipline from any recognized University

Primary Investigator/ Computor: Candidates must have passed H.S.S.L.C or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics as one of the Subjects.

Field Assistant: Candidates must have passed S.S.L.C. or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Knowledge of Khasi, Jaintia or Garo language for the post is essential.

Account Assistant: Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree in Commerce from a recognized Institution with Computer Knowledge in Tally Software.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 and must not have crossed the maximum age of 32 years (27 years for Inspector of Excise) as on 01-01-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected Main Written examination followed by an interview.

Pay Scale: Pay Level of 11 for Inspector of Excise posts
Pay Level of 06 for Account Assistant posts
Pay Level of 05 for Primary Investigator/ Computor posts
Pay Level of 04 for Field Assistant posts

Application Fee: Rs.350 for Inspector of Excise
Rs.320 for Primary Investigator/ Computor, Account Assistant, and Field Assistant.
Half rate of fees for SC/ ST candidates of Meghalaya State.
