Jharkhand Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Drug Inspector post under the State Drug Control Directorate, Namkum, Ranchi of the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department of the Jharkhand State.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must possess bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with Specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law.
Candidates must have 18 months of experience in the Manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in Schedule C,
OR
Candidates must have 18 months of experience in testing of at least one of the substances in Schedule C in a laboratory approved for this purpose by the licensing authority
OR
Candidates who have gained experience of not less than three years in the inspection of firms manufacturing any of the substances specified in Schedule C during the tenure of their services as Drugs Inspectors shall be authorised to inspect the manufacture of the substances mentioned in Schedule C.
Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 35 years as on 01-08-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written examination followed by an interview.
Written Examination: It will be an objective type and will consist of five papers carrying 200 marks each. Each paper will be of two hours duration. The interview will be of 100 marks.
Pay Scale: Pay Level- 09
Application Fee: Rs.600/- for Unreserved, Extremely Backward Class, Backward Class and EWS category candidates
Rs.150/- for SC/ ST categories candidates of Jharkhand state.
Scheduled Tribe, Primitive Tribe/ Scheduled Caste of Jharkhand State candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
