Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of State Tax Officer positions in Commercial Tax Department for Jharkhand Combined Civil Services (Backlog) Competitive Examination-2023.

Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:

State Tax Officer (Commercial Tax Department): 07 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must possess a Bachelor Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time or possess an equivalent qualification.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 37 years as on 01-08-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Scheme of Examination: The candidates will be selected on the basis of Preliminary Exam of 200 marks, Mains Exam followed by the Interview Test.

Pay Scale: Rs.9,300 - 34,800

Application fee: Rs.600/- for General/ BC/ Other State Candidates
Rs.150/- for SC/ ST category candidates
