Job Description :

Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Affairs, invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Security Assistant/ Executive Exam in IB, Government of India.

Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:

Security Assistant/ Executive: 4987 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: The candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized board of education.

Candidate must have knowledge of the local language or dialect of the state for which the application is submitted.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 27 years as on 17-08-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: The selection of candidates shall be based on a Written Examination followed by an Interview.

The written examination will consist of two tiers: Tier-I and Tier-II. Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 33% marks (i.e., 17 out of 50 marks) in the Tier-II examination to qualify.

Based on the combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II, candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-III/ Interview. A final merit list for the post of Security Assistant/ Executive will be prepared based on the performance in the Tier-I and Tier-III exam.

The final selection to the post would further be subject to successful completion of Character & Antecedent verification, followed by Medical Examination, etc.

How to prepare for IB Security Assistant/ Executive Exam

Pay Scale: Pay Band Level - 03

Application fee: Rs.650/- for all other candidates
Rs.550/- for Male candidates of UR, EWS, and OBC categories
SC/ ST/ EWS/ PwBD category candidates are exempted from paying the examination fee.
Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee online.
