Goa Staff Selection Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Group ‘C’ posts in Teaching Department.

Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:

Government Primary School Teacher: 390 Vacancies

Marathi Medium - 352 Vacancies
Konkani Medium: 38 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must possess Higher Secondary School Certificate with at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education/Diploma in Education or its equivalent.
OR
Higher Secondary School Certificate (or its least 45% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education/Diploma in Education or its accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 200
OR
Higher Secondary School Certificate (or its least 50% marks and four years Bachelor Education (B.El.Ed.).
OR
Higher Secondary School Certificate (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
Bachelors in Education (B.Ed.) with six months Bridge course in Elementary Education (Professional Development Programme for Elementary Teachers-PDPET).
And,
Candidates must have passing certificate in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) as recognized by the Government of Goa in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the purpose.
And,
Candidates must have teaching Experience of minimum two years in Primary Schools recognized by Directorate of Education.

Candidates must have Knowledge of Konkani, Marathi.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 45 years as on 20-02-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of a Computer-Based Test (CBT). After the conduct of Computer-Based Test, there shall be Class Demonstration carrying 10 (ten) marks. The final merit list will be created based on marks obtained by each candidate in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination and of Class Demonstration.

Pay Scale: Pay Level-06

Application Fee: Rs.400 for Gen category candidates.
Rs.200 for OBC/ EWS categories candidates.
Rs.100 for SC/ ST/ PwBD categories candidates.
