The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is offering job opportunities for Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) and Auditor posts through deputation. That means only people who are already working in Central or State Government departments or similar public organisations can apply. Importance of AAO job:
The EPFO manages crores of rupees every month in the form of Provident Fund contributions, pensions, and insurance for lakhs of people. The job of an AAO is to protect that money and ensure everything runs smoothly and legally.

Major responsibilities of AAO: The Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) is a Group 'B' Gazetted post in EPFO, responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across its offices. AAOs review financial records like bills, vouchers, and accounts to ensure spending is lawful and within guidelines. They conduct internal audits to verify adherence to rules, detect errors or misuse, and report irregularities. In addition to identifying problems, AAOs suggest improvements in processes and may also guide or train junior staff. They work closely with departments like accounts, admin, and finance to carry out effective audits and maintain financial integrity within the organization.
Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria as required educational and professional qualification, experiences if any, and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.
Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 56 years for Auditor as on 15-09-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.
Pay Scale: Pay Level 11 for Executive Engineer
Pay Level 10 for Assistant Executive Engineer
Pay Level 07 for Assistant Audit Officer
Pay Level 06 for Junior Engineer, Auditor

How to Apply: Interested and qualifying officers are required to apply through the suitable channel, i.e., the application is to be officially forwarded by the existing employer or the parent department. The candidates should complete the proforma application form (Annexure-I) contained in the advertisement and attach all the necessary documents such as service details, pay level, APAR grading, and experience.
Applications not made through the proper departmental channel are liable to be rejected. This procedure guarantees that the candidate has the required approvals and is qualified to be relieved of the present position if appointed. Therefore, departments must also verify the accuracy of the details and ensure that the candidate is suitable for deputation.
