CSIR-NIO Recruitment 2025: 25 Stenographer and Secretariat Assistant Vacancies

The CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO) is a premier research laboratory under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO), invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Junior Stenographer and Junior Secretariat Assistant.

Junior Stenographer: 06 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2/ XII or its equivalent and proficiency in stenography as per the prescribed norms fixed by DoPT from time to time.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 27 years for Junior Stenographer, and 28 years for Junior Secretariat Assistant posts as on 24-06-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process:

Junior Stenographer Post: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Competitive Written Examination followed by the Proficiency Test in Stenography. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the competitive written examination.

Junior Secretariat Assistant Post: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Competitive Written Examination followed by the Proficiency Test in Computer. The Final Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II and only comprise of those candidates who have qualified the Proficiency Test in computer typing.

Emoluments: Rs. 36220/- for Junior Secretariat Assistant Posts
Rs. 47415/ for Junior Stenographer Posts

Application Fee: Rs. 500/- for Gen/ OBC/ EWS categories candidates
SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women/ Ex-Servicemen are exempted from submission of application fee.
