Job Description :

The Central Silk Board (CSB), a government body under the Ministry of Textiles, invited applications for Scientist 'B' (Pre-Cocoon Sector) positions. Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 35 years as of 05-09-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential: Candidates must possess Master's degree in Science or Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University.
- Candidates must have appeared/appearing for ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) - 2024 examination in specific subject specialisations mentioned in the official advertisement.
Selection Process:
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) - 2024 examination scores.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview.
- The final selection of candidates will be based on merit in the chosen specialisation.
Pay Scale: Level-10 (7th CPC) of the Pay Matrix (Pay Scale: Rs 56,100-1,77,500) plus allowances as per Central Government Rules

Application Fee: Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee by visiting India Post, and submit the duly filled-in payment challan in specified format.

Candidates belonging to the Unreserved (UR), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC), or Ex-Servicemen (ESM) categories are required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 1,000/-.

However, candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories are exempted from paying the examination fee.
