  Job Description :

  Border Roads Organisation (BRO), under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, invites online applications from eligible Indian Nationals (male candidates only) for recruitment of Vehicle Mechanic, MSW (Painter), and MWS (DES) positions.

  Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:

  General Reserve Engineer Force: 542 Posts

  Vehicle Mechanic: 324 Vacancies
  MSW (Painter): 13 Vacancies
  MWS (DES): 205 Vacancies

  Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation from a recognised Board or equivalent
  And
  Candidates must have possess a certificate in a relevant discipline.

  Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 25 years (27 years for Vehicle Mechanic) as of 24-11-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

  Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on a Physical Efficiency Test, followed by the Practical/ Trade Test.

  Pay Scale: Rs.5,200 - 20,200

  Application Fee: Rs.50 for General, EWS, OBC categories candidates
  Candidates belonging to SC/ ST are exempted from payment of the application fee.
  Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee online.
