  AVNL invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Junior Technician on Contract Basis to work in Heavy Vehicles Factory, (a unit of AVNL) Avadi, Chennai-5.

  About AVNL: 

  Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) is a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) that belongs to the government. It was established in 2021 during the Ordnance Factory Board reorganization. AVNL produces armoured vehicles and other defence-related products for the Indian Armed Forces. The company produces the following as its primary products: battle tanks such as Arjun MBT, Infantry Combat Vehicles and bulletproof vehicles.

  AVNL contributes greatly to India's defence and self-reliance. AVNL stresses innovation, quality and safety in all the vehicles it manufactures. Based at Avadi, Chennai, AVNL has a number of manufacturing facilities around India.

  Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have completed the ITI in relevant discipline.

  Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 35 years as on 19-07-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

  Scheme of Examination: The candidates will be selected on the basis of Trade Test that will be Qualifying in Nature.

  Remuneration: During the period of tenure, Engaged Junior Technicians (Contract) will be paid Basic Pay of Rs. 21,000/-

  ii) Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) as applicable

  iii) Special Allowance @ 5% of Basic Pay

  iv) Annual increment at the rate of 3% on the basic pay during the tenure only on successful completion of the previous tenure.

  SC/ ST/ Ex-SM/ Female/ PwBD category candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
