    1st Merit List – Released: 21 March 2025

    • Included names of approximately 21,000+ candidates.
    • Shortlisting was purely based on 10th standard marks and candidate preferences.
    • Cut-offs varied by state and category, with general cut-offs ranging between 84%–94%  with top urban/metro zones like Delhi, Maharashtra nearing the upper end.
    • DV (Document Verification) began shortly after publication.

    2nd Merit List – Released: 21 April 2025

    • Focused on unfilled posts from the 1st round due to non-reporting or DV failures.
    • Candidates with slightly lower scores (typically 82%–90%) were shortlisted in General Category, depending on the region.
    • Rural or low-density circles: 78–82%, especially in North East and Odisha
    • DV rounds commenced immediately.

    The 2nd merit list for the India post-GDS has been released for all regional circles except for Jammun Kashmir and Haryana. The Indian postal department outlined in its notification that the GDS post result will be based on the marks of the 10th standard.     4th Merit List – Released: 16 June 2025
