Job Description :

All India Institute of Medical Sciences invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 10 for the recruitment of Nursing Officer posts.

Commencement of Online Application: 24-02-2026
Last Date of Online Application: 16-03-2026
Online (CBT) for Stage I NORCET Preliminary, Date: 11-04-2026
Online (CBT) for Stage II NORCET Mains, Date: 30-04-2026

Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:

Nursing Officer: 2551 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must posses a B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing/ B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/ state Nursing council recognized institute or University.
OR
B.Sc. (Post-Certificate)/ Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing council recognized institute/ University.

OR

The candidate must posses a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing council recognized Institute/ Board or Council.
And
Registered as Nurses & Midwife in State / Indian Nursing Council.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 30 years as on 16-03-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of NORCET examination that will be conducted in two successive stages as described below:
StageI: NORCET Preliminary
Stage II: NORCET Main

Pay Scale: Pay Level 07

Application Fee: Rs.3000 for General/ OBC category candidates
Rs.2400 for SC/ ST/ EWS category candidates
PwBD category candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee online.
