The IBPS PO Preliminary exam is the first step of the selection process, which has three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
English Language examines grammar, comprehension, and vocabulary.
Quantitative Aptitude tests numerical skills, with subjects such as arithmetic, algebra, and data interpretation.
Reasoning Ability tests logical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with puzzles and seating arrangement questions.
There is a specific number of questions and time limit per section, and negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates must score above sectional and overall cut-offs to be eligible for the Main exam. Repeating every section methodically improves speed and accuracy.
