IBPS Probationary Officer (PO) exam is taken every year to hire suitable candidates for the position of PO in public sector banks. The selection procedure includes two main phases:
Preliminary and Main exams
Personal interview.
IBPS PO Prelims exam consists of - English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability sections. Whereas, the Main exam tests the candidates on broader topics like General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, and Data Interpretation along with the main subjects. The exam is conducted online, objective type, and time-based where accuracy as well as speed of response is expected.
The candidates clearing the Main exam are shortlisted for the interview round that examines personality, communication skills, and banking awareness. The IBPS PO exam is a tough one, with thousands of candidates applying every year. Hence, preparation is critical, knowing the exam pattern, solving mock tests, and understanding past trends are all important approaches to doing well in this exam.
