The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam, which is the selection process for the training of Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force cadets. NDA is a highly sought after entry point for the new generation of aspirants who want to serve their country in the defence services. The exam is divided into two stages: the Written Examination and the Interview at the Services Selection Board (SSB). The written test consists of Mathematics (300 marks, 2 1⁄2 hours) and the General Ability Test (600 marks, 2 1⁄2 hours) which together make 900 marks. The candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for the SSB Interview which is also of 900 marks and is a personality assessment test. Many aspirants see NDA as a chance to make their dream come true by starting a career in defence, gaining discipline, leadership, and physical fitness, and serving the country with pride and honour.
