UPSC CDS English Exam

The English paper in CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for assessing a candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the English language used in competitive examinations. The exam comprises 120 objective type questions with a duration of 2 hours and the total marks allotted are 100.

This paper is very helpful in clearing the CDS written exam and improving the scores. Questions have been chosen from the topics of—grammar, vocabulary, comprehension passage, sentence correction, synonyms, antonyms, and correct usage of words. This paper is of moderate level, which explores basic concepts rather than the proficient use of English.
