SSC CHSL TIER-1

SSC CHSL Tier-1 is the first stage of the SSC CHSL examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. CHSL refers to Combined Higher Secondary Level. This exam is for students who have passed 12th class and are seeking a government job. Tier-1 is an online computer-based exam. It is of 200 marks and has 100 objective type questions. There is a negative marking with a deduction of 0.50 marks for every incorrect answer, while the correct answer fetches 2 marks. The duration of the Tier-1 exam is 60 minutes and includes four subjects: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language. This stage is very important because marks scored in Tier-1 decide selection for the next stage i.e. Tier-2. Good performance in Tier-1 increases chances of getting jobs like Clerk, Data Entry Operator, Assistant in central government offices.
