The NABARD Development Assistant Preliminary exam is the first stage of the selection process and it is a qualifying exam. It is conducted online to shortlist candidates for the Main Exam which is the next stage. The prelims paper includes three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes, with 20 minutes allotted to each section, and the paper carries 100 marks. All questions are objective-type. Except for the English section, the paper is available in both English and Hindi. There is negative marking, and one-fourth of the marks are deducted for each wrong answer. Accuracy and time management are very important, as only candidates meeting the sectional and overall cut-off are shortlisted for the Main Exam.
